Second Chances

With the New Year rolling in, I thought writing about second chances would be appropriate.  So I typed, “Second chance” into a search engine, and I was over come by the amount of information that was available.  So if you’re looking for a second chance, you are not alone, buy no means.

And why would you be?  After all, being human and second chances go hand in hand; there is no such thing as the perfect person. Our perfection is in being imperfect.  Without imperfection we would be rather boring, wouldn’t you think?  Kind of like a well-oiled machine where everything is mechanical.  The tone of ones voice, would sound alike, we would probably look alike, live in the same perfect home with no color, because color induces emotions, and it is emotions that set us apart.

And we are emotional beings.  That is why color and tone play such a huge role in our healing.  It is also why there is such a great need for forgiveness.   Second chances are often a result of being forgiven.   The story of Jesus teaches us that even in death, after brutally beaten and hanging from a cross for hours that to live as the Creator intended, we must forgive; including such extreme acts against us such as the crucifixion of Jesus.  Forgiveness no matter what!

Forgiveness is allowing your heart to let go of the hurt and pain that you or another persons actions may have caused.

And yes, it is important to forgive yourself as well.  Forgiving is an essential component of any healing process, and its effects can be felt worldwide by others.  When you heal yourself, you heal the world.  I strongly prescribe to this belief that forgiveness is a gift shared by all.

Ho’ oponopono, a Hawaiian practice of forgiveness, has traditionally been used to heal the ill.  Ho’ oponopono means to make right.  I learned of the ritual from an article about a therapist who was using it to heal his patients in a mental institute, without ever seeing them.  Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, psychologist, would study the inmates chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person’s illness.  As he healed himself, the patient improved as well.

“I was simply healing the part of me that created them,” he said.

In other words, the total world is of your creation.  Ho’ oponopono is taking total responsibility for your life; if it’s in your life, then it is your responsibility.  You simply need to create a mental picture of the person you need to forgive in your minds eye, and then from your heart you say these four things, “I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you.”

So now you know - this is your second chance.

THE POWER OF HAIR & PENSACOLA, FLORIDA

Pensacola (Florida) got its name from a Muskogee-speaking tribe of Indians who lived here (the Panzacola or Pansfalaya tribe).  The Choctaw called them the "long-haired people."

Since I live in Pensacola, I find this somewhat fascinating. I have always associated hair with spiritual strength, as in the symbolic biblical story of Samson and Delilah.  Even today’s dream dictionaries define hair as power flowing from the crown chakra; the longer the hair the more power.

Long hair is often regarded as being outside the mainstream.  In contrast, short hair is often regarded as a symbol of obedience and discipline.  Partially due to its association with the military, police and prisons, but it was also used to humiliate and control the American Indian; cutting of hair often represents submission and defeat of a people.

There’s even a story about how the U.S. Army conducted experiments with Native American trackers during the Vietnam War.  After the newly enlisted Indian’s had their hair cut, they lost their natural abilities and failed to perform as expected in the field.  When questioned, the recruits said that after the required hair cuts, they could no longer sense the enemy; their intuition was gone.

Still don’t believe in the power of your hair?  Then tell me, what makes your hair stand up on the back of your neck when you sense danger?

I’ve even read one article that said Kirlian photography can capture the energy field around the hair; when hair is short or no hair at all the energy field of the aura is weakened.

This brings me back to Pensacola – a place with a strong military presence (strength), and home to many hawks and eagles; visionaries who soar high, close to the Creator (intuition).  Not to mention the strong live oak trees that are prevalent in this area.  New Age and Indigenous beliefs both dictate that there are specific geological locations to have a certain mystic or psychic energy; a spiritual power of their own so to speak.

The sand on Pensacola Beach is (or was) 96% quartz crystal, before the BP Oil Spill.  I don’t know how accurate that is now, but quartz crystal is known to amplify and focus energy based on thought and emotion.

The Manataka American Indian Council says, “The more pure and sacred your thoughts, the longer, healthier, and vibrant, your hair.”  Could this have been why the Choctaw called the Panzacola Tribe the "long-haired people”?

I believe Pensacola Beach is a sacred place that has a magnified ability to heal.  It most definitely has drawn some very interesting healers to the area; artist and authors as well.  Some of who I plan to introduce here soon.  In addition there is still a strong Native American presence, mainly Muscogee Creek.

If you care for and respect the wildlife, the land, and the water, it will return that love and help heal the hurt in you.  But you must keep your thoughts pure and your heart open.  It wouldn’t hurt to grow some hair either.

DREAM INTERPRETATION – The Dancing Bear

Today I want share a dream interpretation with you.

Yesterday morning I dreamed I was on the beach and in the distance to my left, I seen a bear wondering around the stores and restaurants.  Eventually he finds his way to the other side of the wall, onto the beach.  On his hind legs he chases a white bird flying right above his head.

Amused, I pointed the bear out to someone else who is sitting on my left.  They find it amusing too. As I turn to walk away, this person tells me, “Don’t be scared.”

I turn back to look, and I see the bear running towards us.  I do not trust the bear; I don’t know if it is friendly or not.

So yesterday I spent the entire morning researching the bear.  And throughout the day, the bear kept popping up on the television and on the Internet.  So I know the bear has a message for me, or has come to help me on my journey in some way.

I discovered the bear symbolizes many things to many different cultures.  At first I grabbed Betty Bethards, The Dream Book, and found that the bear not only signifies strength and power, but also inconsistent emotional energy.  Her book states that the bear can not be trusted; it can be violent or cuddly; charming or crabby.  But I didn’t feel that this was what the dream was trying to tell me, even though the word trust was mentioned in her interpretation.

Next I grabbed my Animal-Speak book (by Ted Andrews) and read about the bear.  What caught my eye was, “Like birds, the bear is often considered among Native American peoples as kin to humans because, like birds, it (the bear) can walk upon two legs.”

In the dream, the bear was chasing a bird. Which then lead me to a Native American web site that says, “If the bear is standing up, this is a sign that you need to defend your beliefs.”  It also went on to say that the bear is often associated with healing and medicine.

In addition, restaurants and beaches are places of nourishment.  Beaches are also symbols of healing and balance; earth, wind, water and fire.  Birds symbolize balance as well (among other things).

Considering I’ve had to drastically change my diet this week, due to a possible bladder infection, I believe the dream is actually a reflection of what I’m doing now to heal.  The thing is that I don’t truly know if it is a bladder infection (unsure of myself, a trust issue), because I refuse to see a doctor.

Therefore, I believe the dream is telling me that the change in diet will heal me; don’t be scared, you are doing the right thing.  The bear moves from the cement in front of the restaurant and into the sand on the beach; nature.  I’ve been using natural remedies to cure myself.

Next the bear is playing with a bird on the beach; a white bird, which symbolizes purity.  I’m working towards purifying my body.

I am sitting on the beach, a place of relaxation – relax, your beliefs are justified.

The most important element of dream interpretation is how did you feel while you were dreaming, or when you first awoke from the dream.  Were you scared, angry, amused, calm, etc.?

When I awoke from this particular dream, I thought, wow, cool!  I was intrigued, even though I didn’t quite understand the message at that moment.  If I would have felt fearful about the dream, I would treat the dream as a warning to go seek medical assistance instead.

It’s always best to interpret your own dreams.  You can ask a hundred different people to analyze your dream and I guarantee you’ll get a hundred different interpretations.  Only you know what you felt in your heart while dreaming.

As in the case of the bear, the symbolism can vary widely.  You have to ask yourself, what does the bear mean to me?  And of course, incorporate all the dream symbols.

THE WATER BLESSING

You’ll often see me blogging about the power of the mind, and how thought can affect our bodies.  Considering ninety percent of the human body is made up of water, it is logical that a direct correlation exist between the two (thought and water/body).   And there are actually scientific studies that support this assumption.

Masaru Emoto, from Japan has published six books (1996-2007) that claims human consciousness has a direct effect on the molecular structure of water.  Emoto wanted to test the power of thought and words and its effect on water. So he taped words onto glass containers, so that the word could be read by the water inside. The water would respond to words like, love and gratitude, by crystallizing shiny and white, like snowflakes. But words like hate or even the name Hitler would not crystallize, and took on shapeless and unattractive forms.

Emoto’s experiment affirms that what we say and think has a profound effect on us physically. And to further this theory that thought can clean and heal polluted water, a demonstration of few hundred people, led by a Buddhist Monk, gathered around a polluted stream in Japan and focused on the water healing for an hour. Fifteen minutes after the meditation, it was reported that the water became visibly clearer.  The water would not crystallize before the experiment, but afterwards the water crystallized into beautiful shapes.

This not only authenticates that we have the power to heal ourselves; it also proves we have the power to heal the oceans, lakes, rivers and steams.

In 2011, after the Deepwater Horizon Disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, a few of us began to meet once a month at the beach.  We would collect a small jar of water, and we would take the water home with us and tell it how grateful we were, and how much we loved it; meditating on the water healing from the oil and Corexit used by BP.

I personally drew a little smiley face on my jar of water, with a red heart.  I taped the words Love, Gratitude, and Peace on the jar as well.

We meet on the Thursday closest to the full moon.  Then we return the water to the Gulf of Mexico and collect a new jar of water to take home.

The moon also plays an important role in our ritual.  Not only does the moon have an effect on the tides, but it also amplifies human emotion; therefore enhancing the power of the prayer.

And what’s really cool is that anyone can do this.  You do not have to be part of a group. No priest or monk needed.  You can do it where you live, or anytime on your own.  You have that ability to heal.

If you still need scientific proof, please watch the video below.

FIGHTING CANCER

It's not unusual to flip through facebook and find friends who are battling cancer these days, especially along the Gulf Coast  Being a smoker and somewhat of drinker in my early years, I have become acquainted with vitamins and herbs to combat my bad habits and the damage they have had on my body.  I’ve been partaking in natural remedies since 1992, as a preventative to cancer.

I’m not a doctor, and I’m not giving medical advice, but if I had cancer, I think I would be willing to try anything to beat the disease.  So today I’m going to share some information from Earl Mindell’s Vitamin Bible.

L-glutathoine (GSH) has been called a triple threat anti-aging amino acid.  It’s actually a tripeptide, synthesized from three amino acids – L-cysteine, L-glutamic acid, and glycine, and it has been shown to act as an antioxidant and deactivate free radicals which speed up the aging process.  It is also an anti-tumor agent, a respiratory accelerator in the brain, and has been used to help in the treatment of allergies, cataracts, diabetes, hypoglycemia, and arthritis, as well as helping to prevent harmful side effects of high-dose radiation in chemotherapy and X-rays.  Additionally, it helps protect against the harmful effects of cigarette smoke and alcohol.

Chlorella (the emerald algae) has been touted as the perfect whole food.  Aside from being a complete protein and containing all the B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E and the major minerals (with zinc and iron in amounts large enough to be considered supplementary), it has been found to improve the immune system, improve digestion, detoxify the body, accelerate healing, protect against radiation, aid in prevention of degenerative diseases, help in treatment of candida albicans, relieve arthritis pain, and because of its nutritional content, aid in the success of numerous weight loss programs.

It is available in tablets, powder and water soluble extracts (which contain the highest concentrations of Chlorella Growth Factor [CGF]).  Be aware, though, that although chlorella products are widely available, they differ depending on the particular strain of chlorella used.

The average dosage is:  5-8 tablets 3 times daily.  I’d suggest starting with only 1 tablet 3 times daily and working up, just to make sure you have no allergic reactions.  Possible adverse reactions include:  gas, bloating, bowel irregularity, nausea, green stools and mild skin breakouts of eczema.  (These reactions, unless severe, are not unusual and should clear up in a few days.  If not, discontinue supplementation and consult a nutritionally oriented doctor.  See section 293.)

Dr. David Steenblock, author of Chlorella, Natural Medicinal Algae, has found that for detoxification purposes, chlorella is best taken on an empty stomach; however, because it is a food, it can be taken with other foods as well as medications.

Cystine is the stable form of the sulfur-containing amino acid cysteine (an important anti-aging nutrient).  The body readily converts one into the other as needed, and the two forms can be considered as a single amino acid in metabolism.  When cystine is metabolized, it yields sulfuric acid, which reacts with other substances to help detoxify the system.

Sulfur-containing amino acids particularly cystine and methionine, have been shown to be effective protectors against copper toxicity.  (An excessive accumulation of copper in humans is a sign of Wilson’s disease.)  Cystine/Cysteine can also help “tie up” and protect the body from other harmful metals as well as destructive free radicals that are formed by smoking and drinking.  A cysteine supplement (L-cystine) taken daily with vitamin C (three times as much vitamin C as cysteine) is the regimen that’s been suggested for smokers and alcohol drinkers.  (Supplements need not be taken on an empty stomach.)  Recent research also indicates that therapeutic doses of cysteine can offer an important degree of protection against X-ray and nuclear radiation.

CAUTION:  Large doses of cysteine/cystine, vitamins C and B1 are not recommended for anyone with diabetes mellitus, and should only be undertaken on the advise of a physician.  (The combination of these nutrients could negate insulin effectiveness.)

Chaparral is one of nature’s best antibiotics used both internally and externally.  It is good for treating bacterial, viral and parasitic infections.  It is also an excellent addition to formulas in the treatment of kidney and bladder infections.

As a fomentation it is applied topically for skin diseases, herpes, scabies, eczema and arthritic pains.  It contains an anti-tumor substance called NDGA (nordihydroguararetic acid) which has anti-cancer properties.  It is very bitter and is usually mixed with other herbs or taken in tincture form.  I do know of several people who drink it as a tea.  Chaparral is a good addition to hair rinses.

Garlic has several outstanding characteristics.  It is used for all lung and respiratory ailments.  Use garlic as a tea or add it to syrups for coughs, colds, tuberculosis, fevers and blood diseases.  It is good to use the tea as an enema for worms and bowel infections.  Garlic is excellent for both high and low blood pressure, infections, stomach problems, indigestion and nervous headaches.

The best preparation is to use the fresh extract oil or eat the raw cloves.

Parsley root or leaves is excellent for difficult urination, dropsy, jaundice, stones and obstructions of the liver and spleen.  Combined with Echinacea, plantain and marshmallow root it is a good remedy for kidney and bladder infections.  The fresh juice of the leaves (2 ounces daily in apple juice) is an excellent blood tonic and remedy for anemia.  Use the fresh leaves in salads.  The root is excellent for jaundice.  The seeds contain apiol, which is considered safe and effective emmenagogue and is used in amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea.  Combine with buchu, cramp bark and black haw for female problems.  The high chlorophyll content of the leaves makes this herb an excellent treatment for cancer.  Drink the fresh juice daily.

Red Clover is an excellent blood purifier when used alone or in combination with yellow dock, dandelion root, sassafras or other blood purifiers.  It is a powerful remedy for cancerous growth.  It is soothing to the nerves and is good for whooping cough and stomach problems.  Red clover can be used in salves for all skin afflictions.

Yellow Dock is an astringent blood purifier.  It will tone up the entire system and is good for diseases such as skin infections, tumors, liver and gall bladder problems, ulcers and skin itch.  It acts as a laxative because it stimulates the flow of bile.  It makes an excellent salve for itchy skin diseases and swelling of glands or otherwise.

Yellow dock is high in iron and is used in the treatment of anemia and will nourish the spleen.  Use in formulas when treating jaundice and hepatitis.  Combine in teas and salve with Echinacea, burdock root and sarsaparilla.

Echinacea is one of the best blood cleansers and seems to be tolerated in large amounts.  It is good for blood poisoning, carbuncles, all pus diseases, abscesses of the teeth, gangrene, all lymph swellings, snake and spider bites.

And of course meditation is always a great way to heal.  Below is a healing meditation I found on youtube.  If you do not like this meditation, please search for one on youtube that you feel comfortable with.

COLOR HEALING – (Part 2) The Dictionary of Colors

(The following information is from the “Healer’s Manual: A Beginners’ Guide to Energy Therapies,” by Ted Andrews)

WHITE
Keynote:  Purification, purity, amplification
Physical Applications:  All systems of the body.  White contains the entire light spectrum.  It is strengthening.  It is cleansing and purifying to the entire energy system.  It can awaken greater creativity.  When in doubt as to what color to use, you can seldom go wrong with white.  It is also beneficial to begin and end a color therapy session with white to stabilize the energy system of the individual and to give it an overall boost.  It amplifies the effects of any other color used with it in a healing session.

BLACK
Keynote:  Protection, grounding, strengthening
Physical Applications:  Effective in polarity therapy when combined with white.  Black also contains the entire color spectrum within it.  It is a color that has had many confusing correspondences in the past.  Many individuals shy away from using black in color therapy and healing, but I have found it to be beneficial at times.  Black is a protective color.  It is grounding and calming, especially to extremely sensitive individuals.  It activates the magnetic or feminine energies of the body, strengthening them.

Black should be used sparingly, as too much black can cause depression or aggravate such emotional/mental conditions.  Black is most effective when used in conjunction with white, balancing the polarities of the individual, especially in cases where the individual seems to be losing control.  It can activate the subconscious mind which can put life and all of its craziness into proper perspective.  It should rarely be used by itself, but always in combination with another color.

RED
Keynote:  Strengthening of the life force, will and sexuality; stimulating
Physical Applications:  Circulatory system, sexuality.  Stimulating to the overall energy levels of the metabolism, lower extremities, most blood conditions.  Red is a stimulating color.  It will energize the base chakra.  It warms and activates.  It awakens our physical life force.  It can be used for colds, poor circulation, anemia, and mucus ailments.  Red strengthens the physical energy and the will of the individual.  It can stimulate deeper passions, whether they be of sex and love, courage, hatred or even revenge.

Too much red can over-stimulate and aggravate certain conditions.  High blood pressure is an indication of too much red energy within the system.  Red can be used to raise the body’s temperature and to energize the blood.  It is also balanced by the color green.

ORANGE
Keynote:  Activation, construction, optimism, energy reserves
Physical Applications:  Muscular system, eliminative system, emotional aggravation and causes of physical problems.  Orange affects the second (spleen) chakra center.  It is the color of joy and wisdom and creativity.  It stimulates feelings of socialness.  It is tied to our emotional health and the muscular systems of the body.  Too much orange affects the nerves, and it should be used balanced with shades of green-blues.  Orange can assist us in healing conditions of the spleen, pancreas, stomach, intestines, adrenals, food assimilation, and depression.

Individuals experiencing emotional paralysis can be helped with the color, especially the peach shades.  Peach is a color that strengthens the aura and gives it a little extra cushioning in recovery processes.  It and most shades of orange can be used to revitalize the physical body.  It makes a good tonic after a bout of illness, for it is strengthening to the eliminative system of the body.

YELLOW
Keynote:  Mental activity, intellectual power and ability, awakening
Physical Applications:  Digestive system, gastro-intestinal tract, adrenal activity, left hemisphere brain activity.  Yellow predominantly affects the solar plexus chakra, and it is stimulating to the mental faculties of the individual.  It can be used for depression.  It helps awaken an enthusiasm for life.  It awakens greater confidence and optimism.  It is also effective in the treatment of digestive problems.  It is beneficial to the stomach, the intestines, the bladder, and the entire eliminative system as well.  It is very effective to the treatment of most headaches.  It helps to balance the gastrointestinal tract.  The golden-yellow shades are healthful to both the body and the mind.  It can be used to facilitate the learning capabilities of an individual.

Yellow is a color that catches the eye.  It is one of the first colors that most people notice.  It is also a color that can create or indicate anxiety and mental problems.  Excessive amount or exposures to it should be balanced with colors from the blue spectrum.

GREEN
Keynote:  Balance, growth, calming
Physical Applications:  Circulatory system, sympathetic nervous system, conditions aggravated by emotions.  (Green should never be used to help heal tumorous or cancerous conditions, as green helps things grow) Green is most predominant color on the planet.  It balances our energies, and it can be used to increase our sensitivity and compassion.  It has a calming effect, especially in inflamed conditions of the body.  It is soothing to the nervous system.  The brighter greens, leaning toward the blue spectrum are powerful in healing most conditions.  Green can also be used to awaken greater friendliness, hope, faith, and peace.  It is restful and revitalizing to overtaxed mental conditions.

Green strongly affects the heart chakra, and it is balancing to the autonomic nervous system.  It can be applied beneficially in cardiac conditions, high blood pressure, ulcers, exhaustion, and headaches.  It should never be used in cancerous or tumorous conditions, or with anything of a malignant nature, as green also stimulates growth.

BLUE
Keynote:  Peace, faith, aspiration, creative expression
Physical Applications:  Respiratory system, eyes, ears, nose, throat, venous conditions.  Blue is cooling to the body’s system.  It is relaxing.  It is quieting to our energies, and it has an antiseptic effect.  It strengthens and balances the respiratory system.  It is also excellent for high blood pressure and all conditions of the throat.  It is beneficial to venous conditions of the body.  Blue is very effective in easing all childhood diseases, along with asthma, chicken pox, jaundice, and rheumatism.  It is one of the most universally healing colors for children.

Blue can also be used to awaken intuition and to ease loneliness.  It is very effective when combined with the warmer color in the orange and red-orange spectrum.  It awakens artistic expression and inspiration.

INDIGO
Keynote:  Integration, purification, altered states of consciousness
Physical Applications:  Endocrine system, reproductive system, infection, most conditions of the head and face.  Indigo and the deeper shades of blue are dynamic healing colors on both spiritual and physical levels.  This color activates the brow chakra, and it is balancing to all conditions associated with it.  It strengthens the lymph system, the glands, and the immune system of the body.  It is an excellent blood purifier, and can be sued to assist in detoxifying the body.  It is a color that is also balancing to the hemisphere of the brain and all nerve synapses between them.

Indigo can be used effectively to treat all conditions of the face (including the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and sinuses).  Indigo also has a sedative effect, and it can be used in meditation to achieve deeper levels of consciousness.  It can awaken devotion and intuition.  It can be used for problems in the lungs and for removing obsessions.  Too much Indigo can cause depression and a sense of separateness from others.  It can be balanced effectively with soft orange shades.

VIOLET
Keynote:  Purification, transmutation, practical spirituality
Physical Applications:  Skeletal system, nervous system, some venous conditions, cancerous/tumorous conditions.  Violet is a color that affects the crown chakra.  It also affect the entire skeletal and nervous systems of the body.  It is very antiseptic, purifying on both physical and spiritual levels.  It helps balance the physical and the spiritual energies.  Violet is effective in cancerous conditions of the body.  Arthritis can be eased by a violet light that leans more toward the blue shades.  Violet also helps the body to assimilate nutrients and minerals.

Violet also stimulates inspiration and humility.  It assists in stimulating dream activity.  In meditation violet can help open us to our past lives, especially those which are presently affecting our health.  A true violet is fifty percent blue and fifty percent red.  It is the balance of the physical and the spiritual.  It is a reminder that we need both aspects within our life for balanced health.  Violet helps to restore a proper perspective both in regard to the mundane aspects of life (including the physical well-being), and the spiritual aspects, helping to keep them practical.

AQUA (Turquoise and other light blue-greens)
Keynote:  Multi-purpose healing
Physical Applications:  Respiratory system, strengthening to the metabolism.  Aqua is cooing the system.  It can be beneficial in easing all feverish conditions and for balancing all systems of the body.  It can also be used to cool and ease inflammation.  It combines both the  beneficial effects of blue and green.  It vitalizes all systems.  It is also purifying.  It can be used in the treatment of asthma and bronchitis, especially with children  Regular color breathing with aqua can prevent intense attacks of asthmatic conditions.

BLUE (Royal)
Keynote:  Purifying
Physical Applications:  It helps the body assimilate oxygen.  It assists in the exchange of gases, externally and internally.  It can clear a foggy mind and it is an aid to negative  physical conditions that affect the brain.  It can help ease depression and emotional problems that can aggravate  physiological conditions.

BROWN
Keynote:  Grounding and stabilizing
Physical Applications:  Brown is also an effective color in healing.  It is especially effective in stabilizing overexcited states.  It calms and grounds emotions and extreme mental conditions.  Brown can help awaken common sense and discrimination.  It brings us back down to earth.  It is effective for any kind of spaciness.  Brown, when it shows up in the human aura, can reflect a need for grounding.  When it takes the shade of what I call “puke brown, “ it will often reflect infection in the body or that area of the body in which it overlays in the aura.  Brown can be used to stabilize all systems.  It have also found it effective to use in cases of hyperactivity with children, especially with combinations of colors in the rust to deep brown range.

GOLD
Keynote:  Strengthening and amplifying
Physical Applications:  Immune system, cardiac conditions.  Gold is a color that can strengthen the energies associated with the entire immune system.  It can be sued with other colors to amplify the effects without overexciting the system.  It is very strengthening to the heart.  It is effective to use in regard to all cardiac problems, especially as a powerful tonic after heart surgery.  Gold is powerful stimulant to the immune system of the body.  It helps awaken the individual’s own abilities to assist the body in restoring homeostasis.  It can also awaken renewed enthusiasm.

LEMMON
Keynote:  Mental stimulation
Physical Applications:  Digestive system, left hemisphere brain activity.  Lemon is vitalizing and stimulating to the brain.  Thus, is effective in treating and alleviating conditions associated with it – i.e. Alzheimer’s, senility, etc.  It can be used to help stimulate the brain’s natural abilities.  It always has a shade of green within the spectrum, and in lemon, the green works as a cleanser.  Lemons assists us in bringing toxins to the surface so the can be cleaned out.  These may be physical toxins as well as emotional toxins.  Lemon is also effective in treating digestive problems and appendicitis.  It facilitates the natural digestive process, helping the body assimilate nutrients more effectively.  Lemon is good for tissues and bones.

PINK
Keynote:  Smoothing
Physical Applications:  Skin conditions and inflammations, immune system.  Pink is a soothing color on all levels, physical and otherwise.  Mentally and emotionally, it can be used to soothe conditions of anger and feelings of neglect.  Pink can be used to awaken compassion, love, and purity.  It can be used in meditation to discern greater truths.  It is comforting to the emotional energies of the individual.  Physically, pink is most effective in the treatment of skin problems and conditions, especially when combined with aqua.  It also stimulates the thymus gland and ease stresses upon the immune system of the body.

PURPLE
Keynote:  Intense purification
Physical Applications:  Detoxifying the body.  Purple is considered by many to be a high vibrational color.  It is this high vibration which gives it its ability for purification.  It is effective to use when strong detoxifying of the body is needed, as in the case of cancerous or pre-cancerous conditions.  Purple is purifying to the body, but because of its high vibration it should be used sparingly.  Too much purple can create or aggravate depression.  It can be used to stimulate venous activity in the body.  It can also be used for headaches.  The red-purple range is beneficial to balancing the polarities of the body.  The blue-purple range is effective in helping to shrink (such as tumors) and to cool, easing inflammations.

SILVER
Keynote:  Amplification and intuitive clarification
Physical Applications:  Discernment of the cause of dis-ease.  Silver can be used to amplify the effects of other colors, much in the manner of white.  It is also effective in meditation, in discovering the metaphysical source of an illness or dis-ease.  Unless we discover the source, the likelihood of its remanifestation is high.  Silver can also be used to help discover and apply the creative imagination.  It activates innate intuition.  It is stimulating and balancing to the feminine energies, and especially the yin meridians.

SADNESS & DEPRESSION

In 2009, Gallup-Healthways conducted a survey that revealed about forty million American adults had been diagnosed with depression.  Signs of depression include a feeling of emptiness and extreme sadness, making everyday life somewhat of a struggle.

And here’s another statistic.  On average, American’s spend 95% of their time indoors isolated and cut off from creation.  If God speaks to us through His creation, then how can one expect to heal from the sadness that grips the heart?

Ever since the Deepwater Horizon Disaster, I have had to deal with my own depression, among many others, who live here in the Gulf of Mexico region.  Some took their own lives.  When BP destroyed the one thing that gave us salvation, we no longer had that elective to tap into the healing energy that we were accustomed to.  The damage was done, and it wasn’t something any of us could fix.

I know of one Gulf resident who began taking some of the most beautiful pictures of birds. She said she had to look up, because what lay at her feet was just too horrifying.  She claims her new found hobby saved her life.

I myself found solace in starting a couple small vegetable gardens in my yard, and we purchased an above ground pool for the backyard.  Those two small activities really did help me tremendously.  Even today, I and my other half spend most of our weekends in the backyard cooking out and playing like kids in the pool.

Just being outside among nature with bare feet planted on the ground can heal the spirit tremendously.  Some of the best photos/video I have ever taken of wildlife has come out of my backyard; which is an example that you don’t have to drive an hour or so away to be a part of the outdoors to heal yourself of your burden.

And I can support this opinion even further when I consider my pets.  We have two dogs and two cats.  The unconditional love of a pet is food for the heart.

We’re a product of our environment.  If you spend 95% of your time indoors, you mostly likely have your attention directed at the television.  You’re assaulted with commercials telling you you need a pill for whatever ills you.  Abused dogs and starving children tugging at your heart.  The nightly news affects your mood as well, whether it is anger or sadness.  Angry at our government, or sadden by the endless bombing of babies and civilians, like in the Israel-Palestine Conflict.

Turn the T.V. off and step outside.  Shut down your thoughts.  Look to the sky, or get on your hands and knees and lay your head to the Earth and ask her take away your troubles.  Or just sit and be and watch what comes to you.  The seat of the divine is in your heart – feed it well.

MESSAGES FROM ABOVE - READING THE CLOUDS

Cloud reading is another way of retrieving messages from the Creator.  The images you see in the clouds sometimes foretell of future events.  Or they may simply be the answers to the questions in your mind at that time.  The message would depend on your state of awareness when you seen the image in the cloud.

I often see dragons in the clouds.  The dragon is symbolic of good fortune and great power.  Dogs are another image that I see often in the clouds.  In the photo below, I see a woman wrapped within a dog, like the dog is protecting her, while she sleeps.

I’m not the best at drawing with a mouse on a computer, but I think you get the point.  At the time, I had company and was not in position to recall my most recent thoughts.  But I did feel comforted by this image.

Dogs represent loyalty and protection.  They are descendants of the wolf and the coyote.  I often draw encouragement from my own dogs.  They love unconditionally, and they can turn a bad day into a smile within seconds.

Here’s another cloud reading involving a dog.

It’s a female with a dog’s tail in one hand, and the other reaching high with her hand clutched around the hair of another being.  The dog’s tail would represent the end; a time to leave past experiences behind.  Hair represents power; power flowing from the crown chakra, also known as the spiritual center.

On this particular day, I had been praying for those who were in the path of tornados (the people of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas).  Afterwards I questioned if my prayers had any effect?  Did they stop the tornados?  Did my prayers help protect those people?  And if my prayers are that powerful, can I conquer my enemies with prayer?

I then stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, and the drawing above is what I saw in the clouds.  There is power in meditation and prayer.  My enemy or past experiences involved the gas and oil industry, namely the Deepwater Horizon Disaster, also known as the BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  I had to learn to trust this answer and place my faith in a higher power; the force that lies within myself.

Below is a video that actually draws out the images seen in the clouds, and other likenesses found in nature.  Please EnJoy! & Laugh as the Sun!
