Disappear Demons

It’s kind of scary knowing that most of the people who spent the evening watching the Presidential Debate had already made their minds up about whom they were voting for months ago, but still decided to participate.  It’s like they sit there glaring at the T.V. just so they can bitch about who they’re not voting for.  That’s what I’m seeing on Facebook the day after – you know who you are; you can’t deny it.

If you are one of these people, step back and take a look at your behavior and realize that you had intentionally chosen to allow yourself to engage in an act of aggression. It’s like joining a congress of baboons beating on their chest.

I have one friend who actually video taped the debate from her cell phone camera and made time stamped comments throughout the post, against the candidate that she’s hated on all along, while she’s video taping.  I love this friend to death, but man that’s just funkin’ crazy mad.

My advise, please just disconnect yourself from that world.  That is not you.  Hating and fightin’ is not the way of love (God, Jesus, Buddha, etc).  Feeding that fire is going to swallow your soul whole; step away from the dark side Skywalkers.

The only power you have in this election, is voting for your favorite candidate on November 8th.  No matter who wins, you will live; you will survive.  Much love ~

Arthritis, Gout, Rheumatism Herbal Remedy

(From the book, “Natural Healing With Herbs,” by Humbart Santillo, BS, MH; 1991)

Avoid meats, dairy products, coffee, tea, tobacco, and refined foods.  A three day fruit fast monthly will aid in cleansing the blood and joints.  Eating just grapes for two weeks is excellent to overcome this condition.  Clean the bowels weekly with an enema.

Drink distilled water and fresh juices made from carrot, orange, kale, wheatgrass, parsley and apple.  Juice one raw potato and dilute with 25% distilled water or vegetable broth for a morning cocktail.

Two ounces of liquid chlorophyll can be taken daily mixed with apple or carrot juice.

A.                 Internal:  Mix the following herbs together:

                              4 parts chaparral

                              2 parts yucca

                              1 part dandelion

                              1 part sassafras

                              1 part prickly ash bark

                              1 part black cohosh

                              1 part ginger root

                              1 part burdock root

Powder herbs and put into #00 capsules.  Take two, three times each day.

B.                 External:  All purpose liniment:

                              1 quart rubbing alcohol

                              ½ ounce oil of eucalyptus

                              ½ ounce of wintergreen

Mix all ingredients together.  Use for arthritis, rheumatism, sprains, backaches, etc.

C.                Ginger Fomentation

For painful joints, grate five ounces of fresh ginger root and simmer in two quarts of distilled water for ten minutes.  Use as a  fomentation – dip natural fiber cloth into hot liquid and cover the  body part.  Cover this with heavy wool blankets and keep heat in.  Repeat procedure when fomentation cools off.

D.                External:  Fomentation for pains, sprains, and rheumatism:

                  2 parts ginger root

                  1 part slippery elm

                  1 part cayenne

                  1 part lobelia

Make into a fomentation and apply to affected area.

E.                External:  Dry brush the skin daily and get plenty of exercise. Massage and  spinal manipulations will aid in circulation.

F.         Hydrotherapy:  Morning and evening take alternating warm and  cool showers for ten minute durations.  Take warm, whole baths three to four times a week.

Earth Health

Which addiction is greater?  The one where a human being shoots heroin in their veins? Or the one where we inject pipes into the Earth, robbing her of her life force?

Our environment most certainly has an impact on our health.  What we do to the Earth is a reflection of how little concern we hold toward our own personal health. We express more fear over second hand smoke than vehicle emissions.  Yet I dare you to wrap your lips around your cars exhaust pipe and take a puff.

Plane, train, or automobile, if you travel then you most certainly are contributing to the fever pitch of an ailing planet.  And no, it isn’t as if any of us want to intentionally cause harm to our Earth Mother, but what are we doing to change this addiction to oil and gasoline?

We know that the technology to produce electric cars has been available since the 1920’s, and we have spent the past decade or so creating cars that can drive themselves without human interaction, yet we can not produce a car that is environmental friendly?

The only way to fight corporate greed is to hit them in their pockets.  Stop purchasing those gasoline operated vehicles from the manufacture.  If you want to buy new, then at least have the courtesy to buy a hybrid or an electric car.  And if you are like me and your pockets are not that deep, then buy used from a local car lot or from a private individual.

Think global and buy local.  You will be doing a favor for yourself as well as the Earth and all of its descendants. You, the consumer have the power!

Love, Abundance & Gratitude

It is said that when we fall in love, we fall in love with the world as well.  We’re floating on a cloud and nothing matters more than that happiness high.  When our hearts overflow, with all that love, all most nothing can bring us down.  Even so, if some misfortune was to occur, we find comfort in our new found love.

But you say, after the years begin to add up, love fades.

I say to you, that love only seems to fade when we quit thanking the Creator for that love.  Nothing appreciates without gratitude.

Now don’t get me wrong, in the physical world, the word appreciate often refers to an increase in value, and gratitude is nothing more than money.  But in the spiritual world, gratitude is appreciation; an appreciation for happiness, love, and companionship.  Notice money isn’t mentioned in this quest for love and acceptance.

Money is nothing more than a creation of man; a façade traded for survival.  There is nothing spiritual about it, and if we were truly living as God/Love intended, then there would be no use for money. The spiritual path intended is one where we rely on each others strengths for survival.  Before money was ever invented, we relied on our skills and traded items of necessity.

The word abundance is often related to financial gain; it means excess.  I try hard to understand this concept of wanting more, but to want more is to say I am unhappy with what I have.  Where’s the gratitude?

Gratitude is not wanting more, it’s being happy with what we have.  Like the word gratitude, man attached a monetary value to the word abundance, and its spiritual meaning was lost long ago.  I believe abundance is the expression of the love and gratitude that we generate that in turn radiates all about us.

I say this because when I stand on my back porch in the summer, and I see all the green leafy plants surrounding me, and all the life dancing around and flying above, the word abundance is what I feel.  So much life everywhere!  I am abundantly grateful.

In the end, money can’t buy you love, but gratitude can feed you all the love you will ever need.

Who am I Today?

Who am I today?
Am I your friend or am I your adversary?
Which face shall it be?
Will I light you up with love.
Or be shadow firm, fist first,
And not bend or break under any terms?

The question is simple.  The answer lies in how you view the people with whom you interact through out your day.    If you expect someone to be hostile towards you, then that is most likely the behavior that will be presented. But, if you view others as loving caring beings then the coin is flipped and loving and caring beings they shall be.

It all boils down to the power of our thoughts, and the way we perceive any given person or situation.  Not only do we have the power to shape our worlds into reality, but we also have the ability to distinguish the thoughts of others.

And of course, we are more than glad to fulfill our roles that others have perceived, because it’s that damn easy to follow the flow along the path that was laid out before us.  It’s a two way street.  We are either playing a part of another’s reality or setting up the scene for our own lifetime movie.

Yet, if we are viewing people in a positive manner, then we are also changing how others view us; our part in their story changes as well.    This is why it is said that the change you want to see begins with you.

Do not disregard this information because you tried it a few times and it didn’t seem to work for you.  Keep at it.  Give it time.  There’s a lot of bad that we have generated in this world, and it is going to take a lot of good to change it.

Much Love ~

Forgiving God

In the bible it says that God gave mankind the freedom to choose.  This choice when you get right down to it is a choice of good or evil.  So when you hear someone say that God does not exist because a loving God would not create all this death and destruction that we are seeing in this world, remember that mankind resides on Earth, where choices are being made everyday.

God did not create the chaos, we did.  If fluttering wings can create the wind, then why would it be so hard to believe that our thoughts and actions can spread, causing pain and suffering in others?

Anger, hate, jealousy, greed, revenge, envy, arrogance, resentment, superiority, self pity can all spread like wild fire.  Flipping someone the bird for cutting you off at a stop light, turns into a husband coming home and yelling at his kids for being child like, that in turn becomes a child bulling another at school, and so on and so forth.  Then we scratch our heads wondering why more kids are bringing guns to school.

But don’t blame God for this world He created.  It’s the world that you and I created!  Change begins by changing yourself.  And if hate can spread, so can love.

Yet hating on other people seems to come easy to us humans.  I believe it is because love requires the act of forgiveness, and forgiveness isn’t always that easy.  I know everyone reading this can feel me on that one.

You would think it would be the other way around though; easier to love than to hate; because everyone likes to be loved and accepted.  Who truly wants to feel sad and mad all the time?

When we refuse to forgive someone, and we hold onto that hurt, it in turn decreases the love we are generating.  It’s like hanging a heavy wet towel on your shoulders; it feels heavy and weighs you down, except it is our spirit that carries the weight when we do not forgive others.  We have to release the hurt.

So, instead of blaming God for the world as it is today, look within yourself.  If you want to see a change, then begin by forgiving yourself.

There’s an ancient Hawaiian practice called Ho’oponopono, which means to make right.  You create a mental picture of the person you need to forgive in your mind, and from your heart you say, “I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you.”

You can say it in any order. You don’t even have to talk directly to the person who caused you pain, but you can forgive them in your mind and in your heart.

And while we are forgiving those with whom we interact, we can also practice Huna when we see a shooter on the nightly news, who takes out a movie theater, because we need to take responsibility for our actions.  Face it, we can all be assholes at one time or another and for every action there is a reaction (it spreads).  And if our actions spread, then we most certainly need to ask for forgiveness due to those actions contributing to that shooters state of mind.  Of course we can all ask for forgiveness from the victims as well.  We all contributed to that hurt and anger that caused their deaths.

Think about it.  Practice forgiveness and watch our world transform.  I dare you to be so brave as to show some love by forgiving everyone you want to blame for making your day impossible. Try and it and then tell me what tomorrow was like.

Your light shines brighter and you restore your power when you forgive.  Peace be with you all.

What is a Truth Seeker?

A truth seeker is a spiritual individual reaching beyond the common wisdom of mortal men.  They look within themselves for the answers that the mind questions.  A truth seeker is like a vine that reaches for the sky; as it grows it builds the new upon the old; always changing and reaching for a deeper understanding, as symbolized by a spiral.

Some people refer to truth seekers as new age thinkers.  But really, there is nothing new to seek.  You’ll find books upon their shelves in regards to healing, self awareness, dreams, religion and so on, but these are not new ways of being.  The knowledge is ancient.  The only thing that is new is the awareness of the subject.

Therefore, truth is merely a perspective.  This is why every man’s truth differs from another.  This is the wisdom of the truth seeker.
