Love, Abundance & Gratitude

It is said that when we fall in love, we fall in love with the world as well.  We’re floating on a cloud and nothing matters more than that happiness high.  When our hearts overflow, with all that love, all most nothing can bring us down.  Even so, if some misfortune was to occur, we find comfort in our new found love.

But you say, after the years begin to add up, love fades.

I say to you, that love only seems to fade when we quit thanking the Creator for that love.  Nothing appreciates without gratitude.

Now don’t get me wrong, in the physical world, the word appreciate often refers to an increase in value, and gratitude is nothing more than money.  But in the spiritual world, gratitude is appreciation; an appreciation for happiness, love, and companionship.  Notice money isn’t mentioned in this quest for love and acceptance.

Money is nothing more than a creation of man; a façade traded for survival.  There is nothing spiritual about it, and if we were truly living as God/Love intended, then there would be no use for money. The spiritual path intended is one where we rely on each others strengths for survival.  Before money was ever invented, we relied on our skills and traded items of necessity.

The word abundance is often related to financial gain; it means excess.  I try hard to understand this concept of wanting more, but to want more is to say I am unhappy with what I have.  Where’s the gratitude?

Gratitude is not wanting more, it’s being happy with what we have.  Like the word gratitude, man attached a monetary value to the word abundance, and its spiritual meaning was lost long ago.  I believe abundance is the expression of the love and gratitude that we generate that in turn radiates all about us.

I say this because when I stand on my back porch in the summer, and I see all the green leafy plants surrounding me, and all the life dancing around and flying above, the word abundance is what I feel.  So much life everywhere!  I am abundantly grateful.

In the end, money can’t buy you love, but gratitude can feed you all the love you will ever need.

JESUS & THE EVOLUTION OF MAN

Why do you think God sent Jesus to Earth?  Think about it.  The Bible was already written (The Old Testament).  Did Jesus preach the Old Testament?  The answer to that question is – NO.

Jesus was a rebel who condemned the Jewish rabbi’s.  The old way left no room for mankind to evolve.  This is demonstrated in the bible at John 2:3-4, when Jesus pops off to his mother, “Woman, how does your concern affect me?”

This passage is symbolic of evolution.  We take from what we learn from our parents and build upon it.  We evolve.  If we continue to live by the old way there is no room to rise spiritually (to become better people).

We are like flowers in a garden.  The seed is planted; we are born.  Sometimes we have too much water, or too much sun.  We are a product of our environment.  We struggle as we grow towards the Son in the sky.  Yet as we struggle we are shaped and molded by a force greater than ourselves.  We are different colors and come in all shapes and sizes, and when you look upon the garden from up above its breathtakingly beautiful.  But if we only focus on what surrounds us from here on Earth, we don’t see the garden as a whole.  Instead, we compare ourselves to the other flowers and judge ourselves accordingly.  But what’s even more important is that while one flower may need lots of water, another may need only the sun.  This is why it is significant for each flower to read the bible themselves, and not follow the belief of another.  A priest, a rabbi, a minister, their personal interpretation does not necessarily apply to you.

God gave us free will for a reason.  Free will is free to think for your self.

Jesus said, “I came in the name of my Father, but you do not accept me; yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him,” John 6:43.

So if you say you love me, but do not think that I am entitled to the same basic human rights as you, as afforded under man’s law, because of something you read in the Old Testament, then you are ignoring the teachings of Jesus.   You are denying your self the freedom to grow and to become a better human being.  For all people are equal and should be treated with the same respect as you expect for yourself.   When Jesus gave us the last commandment and said to love one another, he didn’t mean love without respect.  To love is to accept and support; for love knows no boundaries. And as demonstrated by the Gay and Lesbian culture, love knows no gender.

John 16:1-3, “I have told you this so that you may not fall away.  They will expel you from the synagogues; in fact, the hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God.  They will do this because they have not known either the Father or me.”

FINDING TRUE LOVE

September 11th will mark the 16th year since I met my true love.  My story actually begins with a dream, where I seen my future lover in a mirror.  I knew that our paths would cross sometime soon.  And sure enough, when I visited my hometown for the Popcorn Festival, I walked into a bar, and my first glimpse of her was in a mirror; the mirror behind the bar.  I had never seen her in this place before.  But there she was sitting in between to gay men.

I immediately walked over to where she was sitting, and I asked her if she was here with anyone.  She told me she was waiting on her girlfriend.  I smiled big, and I said to her, “Your girlfriend isn’t going to make it tonight.”

She replied with something like, “You sure are sure of yourself.”

That’s when I told her she was meant to be with me, “Mark my words, your girlfriend isn’t going to show up tonight.”

Hours later and sure as the sun shines, her girlfriend didn’t show up.  And the rest is history.

But it hasn’t always been easy either.  True love or not, all relationships take some work.  And the end question to many love affairs is, “How much?”

Do you love this special person enough to accept their children as your own?  They are part of the package, you know.  The entire family, ex’s and all; like the children’s jealous and possessive father, and his new wife, as well as the rest of their family.

Do you love enough to sacrifice a piece of your life for the happiness of your significant other?  Do you love enough to support your partner in exceeding their dreams?

Notice the keyword here is “Enough.”  Do you love them enough to . . .?  Or do they love you enough (because a healthy partnership is giving and taking)?

And for all you single people who haven’t met that special someone yet, don’t give up, just believe.  My love story is one of dreams and magic.  If don’t believe, in the magic of love, then you’ll never know the power of magic.  Which is pretty much true with everything else in life, you have to believe it for it to come true.

I can not imagine a life without my love.  She is my best friend, and all that I am not.  Happy Anniversary Baby!  Thank you for the best sixteen years of my life.  All My Love ~
