BLOOD PURIFICATION THERAPY

(From the book, “Natural Healing With Herbs,” by Humbart Santillo, BS, MH)

Blood purification therapy is the therapy that is used to purify the blood and lymphatic system if acids and other poisons are causing disease, imbalances and irritations of glands, organs and body tissue.

If the blood and lymphatic system were pure, no disease would exist.  The bloodstream is the river of life during disease and health, the blood is constantly neutralizing poisons and carrying toxins to be eliminated.  Air pollution, chemical preservatives, food waste, the body’s natural cellular waste and stress can cause an accumulation of toxins in the body and result in disease at any organ, joint, or tissue site.

In adding blood and lymph cleansing, alternative herbs are used such as burdock root, red clover, Echinacea, chaparral, garlic, yellowdock, dandelion, etc.  Whenever there is an illness, blood purification, along with bowel cleansing (enemas, colonics) should be considered to assist blood purification therapy.  Short fast using water or vegetable broths, raw vegetable juices like carrot, celery, beet, watercress and citrus juices will help neutralize poisons in the bloodstream and will stimulate the cleansing functions of the liver, bowels and kidneys.  Deep breathing and exercise will aid in lung and skin elimination. Dry skin brushing and hydrotherapy help clean the blood and lymph and is very good for elderly people and weak individuals that cannot move around easily and be exposed to more energetic therapies.

Some blood cleaners are diuretics, others are hepatics (liver cleansers), others will influence other organs.  Take blood cleansing herbs between meals on an empty stomach.  If they cause nausea or stomach upset, adding some licorice root, ginger or other carminatives to the combination usually will help.  If this fails, take the herbs with meals or change the formula so it can be taken on an empty stomach.

The kidneys, lungs, liver, bowels and skin are the major eliminatory organs of the body.  Always consider herbs that will aid elimination through them to help purify the blood.  Stimulating hot and cold alternating fomentations over the weak organs will stimulate cleansing of these body parts.

Blood purification therapy is especially indicated during gout, arthritis, rheumatism, skin diseases, all toxic conditions, during fasts and periodically during cleansing and transition diets, acute and chronic illnesses, infections and low grade fevers.

Blood purification therapy is used to treat heat/excess, cold/deficient, internal and external problems.

In heat/excess the toxins in the blood and lymphatic system have to be removed.  Toxins and poisons produce heat in the body.  During cold/deficient illness an individual is feeling cold because of the organs not functioning properly.  If there is a heavy congestion in certain areas of the body, deobstruent therapy is indicated, but if the organs are receiving toxic, poor blood which is hindering the function of them, blood purification is the suitable therapy.

Whether the condition is internal (chronic) or external (acute) the blood needs to be purified.  It is one of the main therapies that can be used along with any other therapy needed.

COLOR HEALING - (Part 1) The Chakras

Color plays an important role in our physical, mentally, emotional and spiritual well being.  Color dances in the landscapes, and flows through people, culture and language.  How many times have you read or heard someone say, “His face was red with anger?”  Or black as night?

There’s even a theory that we are drawn to the color of the clothing we chose to wear for today; that we feel a need to have that particular color in our life.  There are even certain periods of our life’s, or seasons, where we are more drawn to a color.  I know in the winter time, I am more prone to black and navy blue, but in the summer, I love bright colors.  Color sets the mood.

The fashion industry uses color as a marketing tool, by telling us it is proper to wear earth tones in the autumn and pastels in the spring.  Realtors suggest using neutral colors when preparing your house for the market.  When choosing a color for this blog, I choose black for a background, because black is mystical, it symbolizes death and rebirth; like the birth of a new thought.

Color is a property of light broken down into different frequencies.  Every frequency or color has the ability of impacting the various energies of the human essence.  Take for instance the Chakra System.  For those of you who do not know what chakras are, it is a Hindu tradition.  Chakras are elusive energy points along the spinal column.

Red is the color of the root chakra.  Vibrations related to the root charka would then be transferred along the nerve pathways to the organs closest to it.  Since the root chakra is located at the base of the spine, the areas affected would be vertebrae, rectum, anus, sex organs, legs, and anything else attached in that area of the human body.  It is the center of life promoting energy.

The spleen chakra is above the root chakra, at the first lumbar of the spine. Its color is orange.  It also impacts the reproductive system, in addition to the muscular system.  The organs influenced by this center are the spleen, kidneys, bladder and pancreas.  The keyword here would be detoxification.

The color of the next chakra, the solar plexus chakra is yellow.  This chakra impacts the stomach, gall bladder, liver, adrenal gland, and the digestive system.  It is also linked to the left hemisphere of the brain and psychic energies.

The color of the heart chakra is green.  It impacts the circulatory system, as well as the immune system.  It is also linked to the right hemisphere of the brain.  It is the center of higher love and healing energies.

The throat chakra is next, and its color is blue.  It influences the throat, esophagus, the mouth, teeth, thyroid and digestive tract.  It can be stimulated for greater abundance in our lives and increase our telepathic abilities.

The color of the brow chakra is indigo.  It is linked to the eyes, ears, sinuses and the face.  It impacts the pituitary gland and the endocrine system of the body.  This area can open your spiritual vision and is inner connected the imagination and creative visualization.

And finally, the crown chakra; its color is violet.  This chakra aligns us with the higher energies in the universe.  It influences the functions of the nervous system, and the skeletal system, as well as the pineal gland.

The colors of the Chakras are the colors of the rainbow (Roy G Biv = Red, orange, yellow, Green, Blue, indigo, violet). Part 2 of Color Healing will be posted soon.  Until then, enjoy this guided meditation below and clear your chakras.

CREATIVE VISUALIZATION – ACHIEVING YOUR HEARTS DESIRE

When I was a kid, about thirty years ago, I seen a young man on television that had beaten lung cancer by sitting near a waterfall and visualizing the water washing away the cancer.  The cancer disappeared.  He basically healed himself.

Creative visualization is a meditative technique to create what it is you want in life.  All you need is to use your natural ability to imagine or picture what it is you seek; like love, or healthy relationships, good health, prosperity, harmony, whatever your heart desires.

For example, say you’re a football player.  Before the game, you sit in silence for twenty minutes, and focus on a clear image.  You’re a wide receiver, you are running down the field, and you see yourself with your arms open, as if to catch the ball.  Focus on that image.  Then imagine it happening now (not in the future, but in the present).  You’re running down the field waiting for the ball to arrive, and now you have your hands on the ball, tucking it away, so no one can steal it.  There’s nothing between you and the goal line.  ‘TOUCHDOWN!”   And the crowd goes wild!  Now affirm your vision and make it yours.

Not long ago, I was driving in heavy traffic.  I had just got off from work.  And I thought to myself, if I’m not verbally being offensive to anyone on the road, does it really matter what I think about that person?  Instead of saying, “You Asshole,” I simply thought, you asshole.

A short time later, I was introduced to a Creative Visualization class, where I learned to understand the Law of Attraction.  This is the principle that what we attract in our lives is whatever we think about, especially if it is heartfelt, or thought of often.  In other words, thought precedes manifestation. What you think will happen, will most likely occur.

So not only was my question answered by some kind of divine intervention, but it is also a great example of how the Law of Attraction works.

Thought moves fast.  I’ve asked a question before in my mind, and was presented an answer to it within seconds, through a sign in nature.  When this happens, I immediately turn to awareness to my last thoughts.  And I can’t always remember them either.  That’s because thoughts race through the mind constantly, which is why it is important to quiet the mind and focus on what it is you truly want out of life.

Try this, the next time before you pull into a busy parking lot, picture an empty parking space closest to the door.  Affirm that thought, you know there is a parking space by the door waiting for you.  You are a good person, and you deserve that front row parking spot.

Even once you pull into the parking lot, and someone else is turning down the same row as you, know in your heart and hold onto the thought, that there will still be a parking spot for you near the door.

I do it all the time.  It works more often than not.  I’ll usually thank Spirit afterwards as well.

Sometimes I’ll use Creative Visualization, when my other half has been uptight and irritable. I’ll visualize her in a white light happy and joyful.  I found that this works as well.  Even though the technique does not control the behavior of others, it does allow everyone to manifest in their most positive aspect.

So when you come across a stranger, don’t be so judgmental.  Because if you see only the negative in a person, then that behavior will most likely be reflected back at you from that individual.

Think good thoughts.  The mind is powerful tool.  And it is important that we learn to control our thoughts and use them wisely.  Positive thoughts will make a positive life, in contrast to negative thoughts which will manifest themselves in a negative fashion.

Try it, and please come back and comment, and let me know how Creative Visualization has assisted you in your life's journey.
